You better start shopping for lingerie if you wanna look glamorous, confident and sexy from the inside to the outside of your clothes. Lingerie is more and more sophisticated and the competition between lingerie designers is more fierce. Good for us ladies, we can choose from a more diverse styles, size ranges and fabrics.

My advice before going to spend your money on expensive lingerie is to have a bra fitting by eye with a bra expert who can tell you exactly the bra size you are wearing and the style that suits you the best. And as a tip please go before or after your menstruation otherwise the bra size might be slightly bigger. During the bra experience the fitter will show you a variety of bra’s that suits your breast shape, from soft cup bras, moulded cups to push up’s and wonder bras. You have to be patient and try them all because every bra styles fits differently and has its characteristics and sometimes if you are 30 D for example in Calvin Klein you might be 32 D in Stella McCartney.

You will never believe but having a bra fitting its fun and makes you feel good about you and more confident after you get to know your body better.

The soft cup bras:

The comfort is the king! Many women hate underwires bras and rather prefer to go for a soft cup bra or non wired bandeau, halter neck tops and bodysuits. Do not think a soft cup bra doesn't offer enough support because it does! I can offer you some good brands-cotton made for soft cups. My first choice is Baserange because of its minimal design, organic cotton fabric and classic, "not to much"design. Another good and functional brand is Hanro- very simple but one of the most popular brands on the lingerie market.

If you look for a cute soft cup design then Love Stories is the best to satisfy your desires. All the soft cup brands I have mentioned above runs small cup sizes up to D.

Moulded wired bras:

Usually, women cannot wait to go home and take off their bras but if you get the perfect fit, I promise, you will never complain again and even forget you are wearing one. Brands I recommend for moulded cups- Calvin Klein- customized comfort style for cup size 30A-36DD. Wacoal- La Femme style - feminine and functional perfect for everyday wear ( 30D- 36 G). Panache and Fantasie for big cup size Up to GG cup size.

Well ladies, my advice is get fitted! A bra fitting by eye can help also your posture and give you confidence.

Here you have some tips about different types of bra:

Maternity bras:

The best choice is a non-wired bra because during the pregnancy the breast will keep on growing. As an advice is good to have a fitting every 3 months. Even the fitting procedure steps are different. If for a normal bra fitting the bra should be closed at the loosest hook and eye for the maternity fitting the bra should be closed at the tightest hook and eye because of hormonal shifts, gain weight and expanding rib cage.

Brands for maternity bras:

  • Stella McCartney
  • Heidi Klum
  • Chantelle
  • Amoralia

These are few brands with very functional styles of maternity/nursing bras.

Top brands for lingerie:

Cute styles: Free People, Love Stories, For the Love of Lemons

Naughty Styles: Coco de Mer, Bordelle, Chromat, Loveday London, Agent Provocateur

Romantic and classic styles: I.D Sarrieri, L'Agent by L'agent Provocateur, La Perla, Fleur du Mal, Kiki de Montparnasse

Brands for big cups: F to H cup size Panache, Fantasie, Wacoal, Triumph and Adina Reay
